One of the first things that we learned about cancer was how it thrived in an acidic environment. In fact, if a person is oxygenated correctly, cancer in unable thrive and grow. Having a body that is more alkaline helps fight off many diseases plus it helps when trying to loose weight!!!! So even if you don’t care about your health, but want to look good, here’s a list of foods that are alkalizing and those to stay away from that are acidifying. One of the most acidifying things out there are soft drinks. We give Adelaine alkalizing drops in her juice every day (about 7 drops). If she were to drink a soda, it would take 210 drops to bring her levels back to where they were before the soda. So soft drinks are very naughty!

The list is not as straight forward as some would think. For example, grapefruits and lemons are listed under alkalizing foods!

Stevia is my new favorite sweeter. It not only sweetens like sugar, but is actually beneficial (it made the nice list). I heard that Coca-Cola has just bought the rights to Stevia, if its true, Stevia should soon appear in or favorite soft drinks, and hopefully more readily available on grocery store shelves. Take away every thing unhealthy about them(I guess that leaves just the Stevia), and place it into a glass bottle, then you’ve got the makings of a real health drink!!! Right now it is hard to find Stevia outside of a health food store, but I did find it with little packets (like Sweet ‘N Low)at Sweet Bay it is called SweetLeaf Stevia Plus. The plus is fiber. It was on the sugar isle.

Can you believe cheeses made the naughty list along with black beans and rice, plus hard liquor? Good bye favorite Mexican Resturant in Largo! What’s a girl to do?!!!! (Just kidding about the hard liquor). It did make the list, but I won’t be missing that!
